From The Group Dayo Aladeniyi, Co-chair
I plan to major in Political Science and minor in either Linguistics or Drama. I love being on the computer, reading, singing, meeting people, getting to know more about people and their interests, talking to people, and making the best of my situation. I am excited about being a co-chair, and I eagerly await the challenges, and fun opportunities and activities ahead of me. I look forward to having an exciting year!

I joined StemGroup because I think it's scary how many people don't know anything about stem cells. Stem cell research is so new, so controversial, and so exciting that I believe everyone should learn as much as they can before making the decision to be for or against it. I've been interested in stem cell research since I was 14 years old and I'll talk your ears off about it if you let me. Chirag Rajpuria, Assistant Chair
A bit obsessive compulsive, nonetheless able to function as a normal teenager, is the best way to describe my personality. I'm currently a sophomore majoring in Health Policy and Administration with a double minor in Biology and Chemistry. I hope I can use my degree, and the many pre-requisites required, to eventually go to Med-School and become a Surgeon. Well enough of my background, more important is why I chose to be involved with StemGroup. Well if you are taking the time to read this than you too have shown some interest in Stem Cell Research. Not only do the benefits of the research make me so enthusiastic about being involved with this organization, but its also the desire to inform others about a somewhat complex topic that really gets my engine running. StemGroup is a gateway for the University, and all its constituents, to be involved in changing the Health Care Field and, fundamentally, Science for the better. Sagar Rathie, Administrator
Stem cells represent an ever growing resource for novel cell-based regenerative techniques and medicinal therapies. The importance and understanding of this field are vital for future developments in stem cell research. As a member of StemGroup, I hope to help ensure that faculty, students, staff and members of the community understand the possibilities that stem cells have for the advancement of treating human diseases and disorders. Samantha Slaton, Treasurer
I’m a biology major, chemistry minor with intentions of going to medical school. But we’ll see how this semester goes before any final pre-med decisions are made. I am a part of StemGroup because I am a firm believer in stem cell research and its benefits in helping the future of medicine and science. I feel that the end results and potential and promising scientific breakthroughs of stem cell research far exceed any ethical issues to which it pertains. I also feel that this matter is extremely important to communicate to the public. I don’t feel as though many people know enough about the advantages of this topic, but they should in order to promote the stem cell research campaign. Although my part as treasurer may seem insignificant, I really hope to learn more and help create awareness about stem cell research.
